This all stainless steel vegetable slicer features a manual, downward-pull design with extended lever and comfy-grip handle for painless repetitive slicing. The detachable blade cartridge attached to this unit allows for variable slice thickness between 3/16 inches and 3/8 inches and provides easy access for when it’s cleaning time. This unit, the 3/8 inch model, can cut any vegetable regardless of thickness into layers as thin as peas; anything soft or hardùtomatoes, potatoes, onions, strawberries, lemons, and limesùcan be finely chopped up in a fraction of a second.
The engineers at Edlund invented a method of safe vegetable-loading, which they integrated into the ARC-138. Referred to as the Pusher/Hopper, this mechanism holds the produce in a slatted nest until the operation begins. Your hands are never in the blade’svicinity. The Pusher/Hopper loads the produce into the blade cartridge itself, eliminating the potential for kitchen disaster. The ARC-138 Vegetable and Fruit Slicer is NSF-Certified and made in the U.S.A.
